Horse Sales

When breeding a horse, we spend a great deal of time researching bloodlines and peformance history enabling you (the buyer) every opportunity to select the ideal prospect that will allow you to achieve your potential in your chosen equine sport.  The horses listed all have proven performance back through their breeding. Broodmares have been selected carefully for their type, temperment and bloodlines that have been proven over generations and continue to do so today - ASH mares with renown breeding.  The stallions we have used are of the highest quality and are from breeding families that are also proven to be winners and have been successful at the top of their sport - domestically and abroad.

So, it is by no surprise that youngstock produced are desirable in type, have a temperament that is easy to work with and with such attributes you have: performance prospects with 'true' versatility!

If you have been following the sales in the Eastern states over the past few years, you will notice that horses who share common bloodlines are highly sought after by those that are serious about their competition prospects.

We have also taken into consideration that versatility is important and we look for an animal that also has plenty of 'eye appeal' that will stand-out in the showring, as well as campdraft or cut a cow. Youngsters are bought along carefully and with due consideration. We prefer the horses to have a solid foundation on the flat before they have any exposure to competition. Horses started under saddle are used to muster cattle on the propertys' here in the South East and up on the Oodnadatta Track.

Horses sold previously over the years have all gone to homes where owners have been pleased with their progress and most of all their workable temperment. You will find youngstock on offer highlight value for money, especially in these uncertain economic times.

Inspection and vet checks are always welcome by prior appointment. We also have available DVD's for those genuine buyers that are unable to travel. International enquiries are POA and due consideration will be given regarding freight.

Comment:

This is a reluctant sale but due to property commitments, and a young rider who is more content on kicking a football, this sweet natured filly is offered for sale to the right home. She has been started under saddle and is ready for educating. Will eventually make a lovely Junior/Ladies/Maiden/Novice horse for an educated rider. Dam was an all-round campdrafting and sporting mare with wins and placings from limited opportunity. She carried her riders to many wins in Junior Drafts as well as Champion Junior Gymkhana Rider awards. She would then back it up in the senior events with Champion Gymkhana Horse awards. Outstanding temperment for all ages and rider levels. So, if you are a rider that has a dressage or hacking background and can establish foundations with a view to experience cow horse events in the future and as a childs mount  - this mare is ideal!  Her dam was recently bought back under saddle and is on loan to a young junior drafter and at their first draft placed 5th.
